East Chicago

Mike and I spent Friday/Saturday with friends. On Friday, we went to East Chicago (which is walking distance away from the Indiana border) to have a BBQ with the Bielawski's (a guy I work with). We got there early to take some pictures on the beach.

The beach was just "okay". The sand was pretty dirty and it was SO WINDY! Amazing.

We took TONS of pics and they were so fun to play with in iPhoto. Here is one of Mike on a bench. I took a nap on that bench later while Mike sat. There was only 1 other group of people and they were further north-swimming.

This pic reminds me of how all the girls in my family are alike. I think that we all have some sort of smart-alek pic like this. I think that my dad is this way too. I love my family.

Here is Mike on the beach. It was a beautiful day. God cold and rainy after about an hour though.

I love the water on my feet. I could stand there for hours. :)

Mike enjoys taking pics. He was taking so many, I got bored and went to stand on the Jeep to wait. I love him. :)

And everyone needs a pic of flowers. These were the only ones around but they were beautiful!

Winchester, IN

Mike and I went to Winchester, IN last weekend to hang out with some friends and their family. It was very fun, hanging out on the farm, swimming, riding the 4-wheeler--relaxing.

Here is a picture of Andrew's sister Sarah, I and Tanya oin the lake. We were in there for a few hours chatting and tanning. It was very fun. Alittle cold.

Here is a picture of Andrew's parents: Beth and Roger. They were so much fun to hang out with!

These were my friends while I was there They're brother-sister. The orange one is a boy and the black one is a girl (she's a few weeks pregnant... but the orange one isn't the daddy) :)

We played this game called Hillbilly Golf quite a bit. It was very competitive. Mike was pretty good at it.

Well, there was out trip. Alot of hanging out. On the drive back, we all rode in the Hirschy's red 2-door Cavilier with no a/c. The 6 hour drive was quite windy but, suprisingly, not too unbarable. It actually took about 8 hours because we took long stops.

Anniversary, rollerblading, zoo, gardens and soccer

Mike and I had a wonderful anniversary. He suprised me with dinner at The Melting Pot and then we went to Pirates of the Caribbean 3. It was very fun. Here is a picture from just before dinner.

Here are the flowers that Mike gave me. I love how bright they are!

Amanda and I went rollerblading this week for a couple hours. It was fun hanging out at Lincoln Park and taking pictures.

Here is a pretty tunnel we went through. It looked like a castle.

Here is the top of said tunnel. It was really just a goofy castle-looking place but was still fun

We went to the Chicago Zoo but none of my pictures looked very good. I have a couple videos but they won't be posted. :)

After the zoo we went to a botanical garden-since we had never been there. This creature welcomed us:

This place wasn't too great but here is one pretty flower that I saw.

Amanda and I then had dinner at Chipotle and I went home and slept. I was worn out from skating all evening. I think that our adventure was about 4 hours total...

Now to my plans last night. I saw signs around Moody that said soccer would be played at 7:30pm so I went. I haven't played played outdoor soccer in a few ears and indoor in about 9 months so I thought that I was pretty out of shape... I actually played very well.

There were 4 girls and 6 guys playing and it was very fun. It started out pretty warm and then poured and poured. Lightning was alittle scary but it wasn't too close.

It would get to the point where you couldn't even see because of the rain and then it would let up for a little while. We were all soaking wet and muddy. So fun.

I now have blisters on the bottoms of my feet. I'm tempted to play again tonite but think that I will wait until next time. It was so fun.
